Art Policy 2005
Dance
The borough scheme of work is followed for dance.
The school enters the borough Dance festival each year.
Children are chosen according to ability to perform in the Dance festival. All children benefit from the dance festival as the routines are taught to the whole year group for years 3 & 4.
Professional development is identified by the P.E co-ordinator.
All dance resources are with the P.E resources.
ICT
Honilands promotes the use of ICT in all the Arts. A range of ICT resources and software is available to enhance the teaching of the Arts. The schemes of work that are followed by the school all incorporate the use of ICT as a tool to support the teaching of the different subjects. Using camcorders,
digital cameras and power point presentations support and promote the teaching, evaluation, progress and children?s performance.
The school ensures that all practitioners are CRB checked and up to date at the booking stage. It is school policy to ensure that a member of staff is with the children at all times.
Risk assessments are completed for use of tools and trips. All visitors are welcomed by a member of the headship team and inducted into the ethos and aims of the school
