HONILANDS SCHOOL COUNCIL

School Council is now up and running for this academic year. 

Two School Council members have been chosen from every class from Year 2 to Year 6.  Our chairperson is Ashleigh from Year 5 and the secretary is Emily from Class 6H.

Events

School Council's first fund raising event was a Bring and Buy Sale which was held on Friday 25 November.  Here is a picture of some children with their purchases.

The council will be involved in organising events to raise money for a quiet area in the playground.

Items were very reasonably  priced from 10p to £1 and the sale raised the grand total of £292.94.  Quite an achievement!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the parents helpers who gave their time on the day of the sale

Discos with a Difference................

School Council with the help of Mrs McNeely have booked a Christmas disco with a difference - Children are invited to wear fancy dress.  As well as a disco there will be karoake, a puppet show and prizes for the best outfit.

Discos will be on Friday 9 December 2005

• Year 1 to Year 3  at 3.30 - 5.00pm
• Year 4 to Year 6   at 5.30 - 7.00pm

All money raised will go towards the quiet area
